I am installing a new HDD in my PC, and one of the steps were remove the GPU (because it is making acess to SATA ports difficult). Now, I see this: a fan header. I actually zip tied a fan to the case, and I wonder if I can plug it in? Also it has the label FAN_SYS1 under it, but I have been in the BIOS before and it had no fan control settings.

The motherboard isn't what you expect. The fan port is located at the bottom, not in the middle. I've marked it with a black circle for clarity.

It's a three-pin connector labeled "FAN" nearby. Indicators suggest "yes."

I found it interesting since I hadn’t seen it discussed on Google.

I marked the fan port with a black line in my earlier revision. The smaller white connector is also a fan port.
