It seems the installation is correct. For the mounting screws with the spring tensioners, you tighten them until resistance stops. You'll notice them becoming firmer until you can no longer push further—this indicates they're securely fastened.

I concur, but as previously noted, ensure both cooler mounting screws are driven in fully. The stop occurs at the end of the threads where the spring clip is located. It's the combination of the springs and a firm stop on the threads that delivers the correct mounting pressure. "Repeat until both are completely secured. Caution: Gently tighten until they cease movement, avoiding overly strong force." noctua.at If you apply too much pressure with the driver, it likely means cross-threading.

Yeah, probably the best idea. You want to get 2-3 rotations on each per the manual before you proceed to tightening them down more. If both aren't threaded to start, then the one side not threaded will likely either not bite or cross thread. I usually pull up on the cooler like a monkey after I believe I've gotten 2-3 rotations into each screw to make sure they've bit into the threads.
