Check if XMP is active, pick 2933MHz and 1.35V settings, test operation. If it works, run a known task to compare speed—shorter times indicate improvement. If not, this memory type is adequate for your workload. The Z370P-D3 board may be limited but should suffice for single-core tasks.

XMP was not activated. I just enabled it, performance remains similar. However, when switching frequencies from 800 to 4000MHz, I’m unsure how to adjust the voltage and clock speed manually. Refer to the photos for additional calculations.

Between 2933MHz and 2666MHz it operates at a specific configuration. It runs at 2933MHz with certain settings in place. For demanding tasks requiring full utilization, consider the 8700; otherwise, stick with it unless you're willing to invest heavily. Keep in mind that single-core jobs won't gain much speed, only those leveraging multiple cores do.

9900k + Z390 Aorus Elite (to power the beast's demand) = just above $600. Adding a cooler could push it to $700-750. The PSU also deserves a review.

A 9900KS would likely be preferable. The expense won't be an issue.

they don't vary much in overclocked results, so unless you're willing to pay the same, I won't bother with the KS.
