I'm feeling both thrilled and careful about this. Modern games have really let me down a lot, especially BF which was my biggest letdown. I spent a lot on that title and now I watch developer videos before buying because they don't always show the real experience. With all the hype, I really want to wait until more reviews come out before deciding, and I miss those classic Fallout/MassEffect singleplayer RPGs.
I haven’t played a game in a while. I’m really excited about Starfield since I’m a big Fallout fan and the new title feels thrilling. I’m hoping it’s solid because I’d really like to discover a game that keeps me engaged for a while.

While I kept my focus on gameplay and initial impressions, I’ve also reviewed some screenshots and checked the achievement list. What I’ve heard is that most reviewers have played it after receiving preview keys, found no bugs after 15+ hours, and loved the experience. Some compared it favorably to Avatar, especially on other planets, noting its impressive visuals. Many praised the polished gameplay, particularly the detailed elements, requiring you to listen carefully to NPC dialogue and read instructions. There’s less need to rely solely on your compass; clear cues guide navigation and item placement. The screenshots I’ve seen look high quality for a Bethesda title, which is what most fans expect. While I don’t anticipate extreme detail, the graphics are significantly better than previous entries, and we’re likely to see that. If you’d like a visual, I’ll share one of the less highlighted locations—just check the name. Regarding performance, reports suggest around 45 FPS at 4K with 4070 settings (FSR status unknown). Based on optimizations and bug fixes, it should run smoothly. The game is expected to launch in version 1.6 or later.
