Yes, I was created specifically for one game.

It was Project Cars for me. I began with a gts450 (£25 on eBay lol), then an HD7950, followed by two RM1000 units. The second card failed almost right away and the RM1000 soon after (again on eBay). Eventually I moved on to the 295x2, added an SSD for RAID0, installed a new 1050W PSU, and swapped my old driving force GT with a G27. Now I’m really struggling financially and cash offers would be appreciated.
It performs well on the 970. You can adjust the settings as needed.
Almost all settings are enabled, but I believe the CPU is limiting my frame rate. Alpha effects such as smoke significantly reduce performance. According to GeForce, you can run the game at full settings with around 1.5x DSR, though it doesn't work as expected. It's acceptable for the initial 40 hours; beyond that, only sand storms and dust from skulls cause the frame rate to drop to 40fps most of the time while it stays locked at 60.
It's great to hear! You're setting up a new gaming rig for your child's birthday. With the 970 and i7, it should handle high-end games well. He's been enjoying MGS5 on PS4 for hours, and upgrading to better graphics will definitely enhance the experience—though it might not last long for you.
Ik, de uitdaging is echt. Ik bouw mijn rig om AAA-spiele te spelen, maar ik heb uiteindelijk CS GO gespeeld.
I invest a lot of time in Mechwarrior Online, spending hours on end. My character runs at over 90fps with full settings. October 6th feels like yesterday. My new Crab, Cicada, and Wolverine are on the way. I use the same names there as here.
Not really intended for gaming, but it was just essential to upgrade. My last system was a C2D.
