During the pandemic, shipping has stopped. I’m checking if the parts I picked suit gaming needs. With a $300 budget, here’s what I have: no GPU, just an onboard one. I’ll use fan header splitters. If you find any affordable GPUs, share the links. Thanks. By the way, LINUS, IF YOU’RE READING THIS, PLEASE ROAST ME! This is my first PC build. Motherboard combo, AliExpress case, Amazon case fan, Amazon CPU cooler, Amazon PSU. Here’s the spreadsheet for clarity: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1...rfR29Wvcf0
Not looking forward to this. Maybe try Minecraft solo? I set up CS:GO the same way and got solid 40fps at 1024x768 with minimal settings. Minecraft ran smoother there—around 40fps in single-player, 10-15 in multiplayer servers, and 7-20fps in GTA V at 320x240. Playing wasn’t enjoyable. The best option is using your GPU, though that depends on your location. Here’s a list of parts, but expect better performance with a used GPU (prices vary by place). This build should beat your current PC setup more than the one you linked.
The specs sheet seems really poor, almost no details. My CPU is a bit better—it only requires one fan and a proper CPU cooler, which is definitely necessary.
Are 32GB sufficient? You're using a 120GB SSD with around 27GB remaining, and you haven't installed any software. You might want to invest more or consider buying a used machine instead.
