Grid 2 feels a bit more like an arcade version since it's really responsive to touch.

The upcoming GRID Autosport will debut on the 26th of this month, returning the cockpit perspective and appearing more aligned with GRID 1. It seems to offer more simulation than GRID 2, which I’m eager to try even without a pre-order. My disappointment with GRID 2 stemmed from the excessive DLC content released alongside the launch that should have been included in the base game.

I'm a hardcore Forza Motorsport enthusiast who just got Grid 2 since I wanted the PC version of Forza. I heard it was solid, but I was let down by the steering—it felt clunky and ruined my enjoyment. It leans too much toward arcade gameplay, and I’d prefer something more like a simulation.

You can explore RaceRoomRacing Experience on Steam. It offers free-to-play access, though the car choices are restricted unless you opt to pay.

For a solid racing experience, consider purchasing Race Driver: Grid. Grid 2 falls short when compared to the original.

Grid 2 works well for those who enjoy arcade-style gameplay (sliding and drifting) over sim-style mechanics. For driving experience, Dirt3 feels more appealing to me. I haven't played Grid2 recently, but the last time it lagged, AI was unreliable and cheats were present. Overall, I dislike how Codemasters designs career mode.
