I recently switched from my modem rental at Xfinity to a new setup. I chose the CM1150v for my modem and initially purchased an R7000 for a 1500 sq ft home. After checking online reviews, I realized the R7000 isn’t reliable, so I switched to an edgerouter X and a Unifi AP AC Lite. My current connection is 750 down with 17 up. I’m unsure if my new gear can handle the household needs, especially with four devices streaming 1080p or more at times. I’m a beginner but comfortable reading guides, so I’d like step-by-step advice on configuring everything. I plan to place the AP in the center of the living room. If I need to buy or return anything, what options should I consider?
