CS 1.6 suits competitive matches. For casual fun, try Source. Steer clear of Global Offensive—it's terrible and the Overwatch system is ridiculous.

Zombies is available for free (version 1.6), and you can enjoy it alongside normal gameplay—it's a lot of fun!

I'm still enjoying GO like a shark, sometimes I play at 1.6 times for a bit of nostalgia.

You're referring to a discussion about performance metrics. It seems someone was expressing strong disagreement, emphasizing that 1.6 isn't significantly better than GO and that Source doesn't outperform GO.

The game itself is fine, but matchmaking and overwatch needs to be completely redone. OP, csConfused surf is the most fun you'll ever have. you've also got gungame, jailbreak, minigames, and deathrun. fantastic game.

CS 1.6 outperforms GO in most aspects. Visually, it's not the best, but overall it's fine. For casual play, Source remains the top choice. I've invested thousands of hours in Counter Strike over the years.

Sure, I get it. You've got a lot of experience—thousands of hours. From GO to 1.6 you're still fine, but jumping from GO to Source feels rough. GO is closer to 1.6 now (especially with the recent tagging update) than Source. And you're using casual mode on GO.

Still not fond of CSGO. Overwatch should be scrapped—it's a broken system that can never be fixed. Basic features like having two separate M4s instead of just a detachable silencer are missing. The USP was swapped for the mediocre P2000. The TMP was built around the MP9 without a silencer. These weapon updates seem unnecessary and confusing. I appreciate some of the additions they made, like molotovs, but the gun changes I mentioned bother me. I’m clear about joining regular servers, but competitive mode caught me off guard—playing it for a week got me banned because I hit Legendary Master Eagle. I’ve been banned from Overwatch for a year, and Valve now enforces permanent bans that turn into VAC suspensions.

I get it now. I believe the recent update really improved the game. There will always be disagreements about changes—some people dislike them while others don<|pad|>.
