It should work, I do remember that Wendell installed Ubuntu on it so it should be doable. If you plan on using it as a laptop with touching it for simple left clicks or drag and drop that works fine, but I wasn't able to go farther than that. Not because it doesn't detect it, but as how everything is not designed to use it. Only GNOME has a really basic OSK, no good way to recognize long presses as right clicks, scaling issues (as there was not too many options for scaling asides using a ridiculous resolution) and probably more things that I didn't seen before I gave up. Linux desktop is simply not there yet for touchscreen.
