The memory slots on your motherboard are DDR4 SDRAM. Normal DDR4 RAM should fit and function properly in that setup.

Baseline expectation: Yes, these seem to refer to the same concept. For precise clarity, consider specifying a motherboard model.

It's a B360H4-EM model... I can't locate any matching compatibility data since it came from a prebuilt manufacturer.

I just installed a DIMM stick into my sister's motherboard and it worked perfectly, so I think I'm all set.

It's good to hear it's working. I recently searched for "B360H4-EM" on Google and found a compatibility checker: https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgra...-b360h4-em. While you likely don't need Crucial or Micron products, tools from those brands or others can still help guide you.

the same setup works regardless of the name, as long as it's an ddr4 board; it should run most chips unless bios isn't compatible. i'd bet all 4gbit and 8gbit parts will function properly. just make sure you get matching bare pcbs with identical part numbers on both boards, or at least from the same manufacturer like samsung or hinix.
