I've been trying but can't locate it anywhere, I'm starting to feel really upset.

Yes. But if you still have a DDR2 laptop, it's better to wait for a new one rather than trying upgrades.

The only item I discovered was extremely expensive. If you search for used versions, you can usually get them at lower prices. However, as mentioned, it might be better to invest in a new device and see if your laptop has a 32-bit processor or OS, as those won’t support the additional RAM.

The laptop likely wouldn't accommodate it. 4GB DDR2 cards were rare, so most systems only allowed 2GB per slot. The available models are expensive enough that investing in them isn't justified, especially given the uncertainty about compatibility.

Which laptop you have and its specifications? I upgraded to 2x2GB last year, but my previous model couldn't handle 2x4GB.

Yes, you could find a used ThinkPad T450 in excellent shape for the cost of a couple of 4GB DDR2 SO-DIMMs. However, it's unlikely you'd be able to use them effectively. Most DDR2 laptops were designed for 2GB DIMMs and needed a BIOS upgrade to support 4GB SO-DIMMs. By 2021, such compatibility is rare.
