It's strange to notice someone with your experience hasn't contributed yet. I'm not sure why you're so skeptical of my question. Other sources don't agree with your perspective either. Your view differs from many I've seen, and it changes a lot depending on the build. With respect, I'd prefer your opinion over yours.

Perhaps you're enjoying Linus's powers and understanding beyond others. Why? He might just be another person. It's possible some members here have deeper expertise. Are you sure the person is there to help with questions? Let's stay grounded. Honestly, I appreciate their appearance—it looks much better than the standard options. One thing that hasn't been discussed yet and it might seem small, but these solid aluminum pieces are likely serving as a passive cooling solution too.

They seem far from the area with the heat.

they physically reach the CPU at its edges, heat spreads out, and when in touch, it takes in warmth. even a small amount can work if it’s connected to something generating heat. basic physics at play.

They’re tucked away inside the cooler. Haha. Unless you’re someone who enjoys taking apart their computer just to appreciate the look of a contract frame.

They do not interact with the heating component. Instead, they connect to the surface onto which the heating element is bonded.

I rely on them since they ease stress and lessen strain on the CPU, not for improved cooling. The thermal boost comes from a more compact design with reduced surface contact.

They reach out to the two 'ears' and the perimeter of the IHS, not the PCB base. Oh, I understand—like RGB components hidden inside a case when users mainly focus on the screen. Contact frames offer a neater and safer alternative.

You're certain? The images indicate that the back panel is removed at the ear and edge areas. Even so, the contact surface and the distance to the heat source (the dies) will significantly restrict heat transfer. It would be surprising if there were more than a tiny bit of temperature change.

True, though warmth escapes and in a scene where people obsess over 5-10 FPS gains and are eager to spend huge sums just to prove themselves... every tiny improvement counts, no matter how minor it seems beyond typical limits.
