Hello! Your build looks solid with the Ryzen 7600X and the 32GB G.Skill memory. The latency you're concerned about is a common consideration—32GB at 6000MHz is decent, but it depends on your workload. If you're doing tasks that benefit from lower latency, a CL30 or CL32 might be worth the extra cost. Just weigh the performance gains against your budget. Cheers!
Don't waste time, you'll still face a problem getting the die. Just fine-tune the timing and set the frequency between 6200-6400 based on your IMC. Your chip will now run faster than some xmp 6000c30. The CL won't really help with performance, but it's likely just tighter subs that make a difference. The die will reach about 7200, but going above 8000 is fine for now. If you can find lower CL rams without spending too much (under $20) or cheap rams that fit Hynix dies (like the TForce Classic 5600C46 mentioned in Buildzoid's DDR5 guide), go for them. Otherwise, just ask @RONOTHAN## for help—I don't have much experience with DDR5 yet. At least I'm not obsessed with it right now.
Eh problably more like a year or 2 There is like 1 guy selling klevv kd5agua80-56g460a hynix a dies for like 43$ so theres the first sign but ill have to wait abit more for cheaper prices and more abundance like ddr4 and ddr3 bare pcbs So far going with bare pcbs has worked out very well for me oc wise with my samsung gdies hitting 3100 and probs abit more than that if it werent for imc limit on my i7 930 but i think ill test with an updated bios tomorrow see if that helps, think an ex58 ud3r or a flaming blade/bloodrage would be the holy grail for triple channel triple stick oc cause this giga x58a ud3r outer channel tops out at a mere 2600 when the middle tops out at 3100 Now i need to stop forgetting about stuff and stop being lazy to progress onto ddr4 platforms and eventually ddr5 platforms cause this is gonna get boring fast and the last things i gotta do are just buying a better board for triple stick and a westmere that doesnt have a shit imc (w xeons, i7 970-990x) and thats about it for x58 oc shenanigans
X58 was an enjoyable project. It marked the final push for genuine overclocking. This AM4 setup might end up resembling my X58 if it survives. I got hurt with the previous board—maybe a slip of the screwdriver caused it. Thankfully, I have two kids, giving me plenty of motivation to keep improving.
It should work fine. Just confirm it's listed in your motherboard specifications. Many users are satisfied with their CL18 DDR4.
This Samsung model (6000 CL36-36-36) offers decent reliability, but it's not the best option available. You won't typically find Samsung parts this fast in higher-end kits, though options like Micron 24Gb B die exist for similar speeds—often with limited support for 16GB modules. It still provides solid sub-timing and enough frequency for current AMD chips, but it's priced similarly to Hynix alternatives. If you already have it, upgrading isn't usually worth the effort.
