I understood what you meant earlier, and I’ve already discussed the issue with you. Individuals connecting devices to insecure networks are a concern. My laptop remains active while the NAS stays inactive since the firewall is managed through the pfSense device.

Each operating system caters to users with varying expertise levels. Even Ubuntu, often called "Linux for newcomers," would likely include the firewall by default if it's meant to attract novices. This argument seems inconsistent. If someone wants to disable the firewall, their reasoning appears weak since experts can safely configure it and compensate with other security measures. I believe macOS should prioritize enabling the firewall by default, given that most users aren't technically skilled.
