Really, I can't believe it... I just removed 5GB of thumbnails... what even is going on? You know these were in an old, unused folder—seriously, that’s wild given how much storage a phone actually has. It feels like a dumbphone thing if you think about it. I’m frustrated about all the wasted space on my device. Also, why does the system need 14GB just to function? That’s insane. Through this little trick I used, my phone suddenly stopped running out of space. Anyone know any other ways to spot unused files? The built-in analysis tool doesn’t help at all.

I don't understand, but it's really strange.

Highlights past issues about iOS restricting manual removal of files from apps beyond uninstalling and reinstalling. This often results in unnecessary data usage, like Instagram consuming several gigabytes just for temporary caching. The question remains why retain such information if it won’t appear again after refreshing the page.

I once owned a phone with around 16GB of storage—super compact, but often ran into problems when trying to install new apps. I tried the app SD Maid, which uncovered a lot of issues and even removed app caches, so I decided to upgrade to the paid version.

It seems I relocated a large folder, but the thumbnails stayed in the previous location. That’s really strange. P.S.: This still doesn’t clarify why the thumbnails took up 4GB, though that’s my current understanding.

Likely an issue with the Gallery app—maybe a glitch or poor design. My version was quite simple.

It begins with me being unable to locate it since it was a concealed folder that likely remains somewhere
