The mainboard is the GIGABYTE A520M AORUS ELITE mATX AM4. I intend to handle all core workloads, including thermal simulations, which may require up to half an hour, so perhaps a more suitable board should be considered later.

It stands out especially when not available in stock. Pair it with a board that offers a solid VRM. I let mine run continuously for days at 200w without any issues. It's a decent CPU, but if you're planning to build a system, AM4 might be better left behind.

Thermal throttling affected all core bench unfortunately. While searching for a replacement for my X58 setup, I considered a Threadripper. Those Threadripper cores tend to be less robust, even with many units available. Consumer CPUs usually offer a more balanced performance across single and multiple cores.
