Ensure your RAM meets or exceeds the VRAM requirement. Your setup is fine, but adding that extra stick could help.

I’m facing issues with GTA V in singleplayer where the world runs slowly. Sometimes textures fail to load completely even though I have a fast hard drive.

7Gb should cover modern gaming needs. However, when running large applications like Chrome, they might compete for memory, possibly affecting frame rates. I’m not sure if this will lead to lower FPS.

This idea is false. I've observed users running 6GB HD 7970 graphics on machines with just 4GB of memory.

It won't work, so I suggest swapping the 1GB stick for a 2GB one. This would let your RAM use dual channel properly—only half would be active at 10.6GB/sec instead of both at 21.2GB/sec. Upgrading RAM speed is especially important in newer games when the CPU becomes the bottleneck.
