I dislike the built-in speakers but appreciate my vintage X-Fi card. Did you find a way to connect a PCI extension cable? You already have a PCIE to PCI adapter, but you need to move the card outside since it doesn’t fit in your case.

PCI_e riser cables are available. Thermaltake offers quite long versions. When people mention PCI, they usually mean PCI, not something else. If you need a PCI_e to PCI adapter, you can purchase a PCI_e riser and use it accordingly.
