I was checking the Asrock B550 Pro 4, but MSI's B550 A PRO looks more appealing in the video I watched. The latter is just $10 more ($150 CAD on sale) and seems like a stronger deal. Are these solid choices? I’m planning to upgrade from the Ryzen 5 5500 soon as well.

The MSI motherboard looks solid for its cost. The USB BIOS flashback feature adds a nice bonus. Edit: Based on what I saw, it seems you won't find a better option at that price.

For flashing BIOS, it works even without powering the board on or installing RAM and CPU is present
