Sure, I can be more precise. Are you referring to mobile games, VR experiences, or high-end PC applications? Understanding the context helps ensure I address the right aspects of RAM usage.

The 5060 8GB functions adequately in most current games (except a few) at 1080p when RT is disabled, but it has issues with RT or at higher resolutions. I recommend checking reviews. I wouldn’t suggest it to anyone, since used GPUs offer better performance, and I anticipate the 5060 8GB may continue to lag even at 1080p in upcoming titles.

The video demonstrates high VRAM demand at 1080p, which can become a bottleneck in many games. This typically leads to performance drops if you don<|pad|> or better yet, reduce settings early. The issue isn't primarily GPU strength but memory limitations. Also consider that DLSS and similar technologies require additional RAM, making native resolution a more efficient choice. Multi-frame generation further increases memory usage. If possible, opt for an 8GB card today to avoid problems.

The VRAM requirement isn't closely tied to ray-tracing. The GPU handles that task. 8GB should suffice for 1080p content.

It runs smoothly at 1440p with 55 frames per second, but that's from 2005—modern titles would struggle even at 1080p.

they need to buy something without alternatives because of budget limits. if 8gb can't run med/high settings or off, they should consider the 9060xt 16gb instead. it doesn’t interest them to spend more on an AMD card with poor upscaling quality compared to Nvidia. productivity is lacking, and the hardware is just being tested with all settings on. they don’t seem to care about ultra options and think it’s unnecessary. probably, 8gb will suffice if they play optimized games like GTA5 and 6, while unoptimized titles are just hub cherry-picks that can’t run well on modern hardware.

This claim isn't accurate. Ray tracing typically demands more textures to be stored in VRAM than standard rendering methods.

Eh well, this game isn't as smooth as it should be because it's not optimized for modern systems. When compared to older launch models, current GTA V can't run it well due to bloat. GTA 6 is about two years behind, so don't expect it to perform well on a 5060. The hardware unboxed games were made to highlight how powerful the GPU can be, but unfortunately it doesn't quite deliver. Remember this is today's situation. Some titles run fine at higher settings on a 8GB system, but not on a 16GB one like today. The 9060xt with 16GB is the better pick, or a last-gen option is perfectly acceptable too. The 5060 only slightly edges out the 3060ti if that card from 2020 still holds up for similar prices.
