I think 40°C is fine, but converting from Celsius to Fahrenheit can be confusing. You're new to building a PC with a 2700X, so it's totally normal to feel unsure about the temperatures!

The idle temperature is around what’s expected for normal operation. Most monitoring tools show both Celsius and Fahrenheit readings... Are you running the standard cooler?
