Considering the 2x8 kit for an upcoming upgrade. Want to go for it or not? The price has dropped from $150 to $30 over the last two weeks. It's being sold with a B550-F and AM4 Ryzen 5 3600. Source: product page (link). Updated June 7, 2021 by MultiGamerClub

It's awesome that 3600MHz works well with Ryzen processors.

Would this setup vary significantly from a 3000 2x8 configuration? I recall the early models favored higher memory capacity, though they often lacked stability.

3000mhz remains quick, yet for optimal results, 3600 is the better choice. Certain games may boost performance by about 10fps.

Vengeance typically relies on SK Hynix, while AMD doesn't always cooperate well. You might find B-Die at the same cost and with a better chance of getting the 3600mhz XMP support.

I don’t care about 10fps being fast enough; that’s just a minor boost I don’t need. Since this is Norway, CL18 costs around 270$ and CL16 is roughly double that. That price tag feels high—maybe I’ll go for the vengeance version once I have the funds. I’m planning to purchase two units, each with 32GB, and replace my old 3000MHz motherboard on my sister’s PC.
