XTU
XTU
Extreme setting you have installed automatically applies at startup. Closing it doesn’t stop it from running in the background. If not, there are other apps or methods for automatic XTU setup. On AMD, the equivalent would be similar but may differ slightly.
I'm setting it up to lower my laptop's clock using BIOS on the desktop for overclocking. The issue is I don't always see if the XTU is activated when I launch it, whether I open XTU first or start the program directly. If it doesn't activate at startup, does it still work once I open the XTU interface afterward?
You can check if the underclock is active by running a CPU benchmark (such as Cinebench R15) and noting the outcome. Use HWinfo during the test to monitor temperatures. Afterward, reapply the underclock and repeat the benchmark. Compare the two results to confirm the change.
