XMP with updated RAM
They’re offered at 4600Mhz because manufacturers set these speeds for performance and compatibility reasons. If you want the system to run smoothly at that frequency, it must be sold with compatible components like RAM, CPUs, and motherboards.
From what I understand, the memory clock in Ryzen Master influences performance. Setting it to 2000 should help achieve around 4000, assuming everything works out. If I want to push it to 4600, I’d likely need the Infinity Fabric to handle async operations, though that might make things too fast. The main idea is to get closer to 4600 without running async. Also, please share the screenshots from that post if you think they’re useful.
They arrived in groups of four, though faster speeds may cause problems with four sticks. It could depend on using the right ones. I’d try them in pairs to check if speed improves. If it does, test the other pair and repeat with the same setup. Keep each pair in the correct order. This is influenced by your mainboard’s capabilities—such as cooling needs for the CPU socket—and the memory controller’s limits on the CPU.
It's still uncertain if it will function properly. However, you managed to figure it out. If you dive into BIOS, you could experiment with timing adjustments or simply reset everything, since it might not be related to RAM. The mainboard and CPU are also worth checking.
It feels odd because they claim compatibility with Ryzen 3000-5000, ASUS says my motherboard supports up to 5100 MHz, and Corsair mentions their RAM is optimized for Ryzen. I thought I could install everything and just turn it on. Now I need to check what Corsair says and see how the warranty replacement goes.
typically they're grouped rams aimed at users who enjoy overclocking, targeting speeds above 5000+. Most people know that XMP doesn't function well at those high frequencies unless using a CEZANE APU. It's not about turning on XMP and leaving it; instead, overclockers usually prefer running desync fclk and specific timings like 5000-5600C18/19 based on RAM binning and IC quality.
