Hi, your Aorus B450 Elite is set up with a single 8GB stick at 3000MHz. Using two more sticks should work if you enable dual-channel mode. Just make sure the slots are configured properly—some systems let you switch between dual and single channel manually. No need for XMP unless you want to fine-tune the settings. The speed setting will remain consistent across all RAM modules when XMP is activated, and it's likely the system will use both sticks together in a dual-channel setup, as dual-channel operation is now standard for most motherboards.

I strongly advise against using hybrid mode—it doesn’t add value. I don’t see any benefit in choosing 3 sticks; instead, opt for 2 or 4 RAM sticks. You can sell it or keep them until you acquire a fourth one. To enable dual channel functionality, arrange the sticks so that one goes left to right in the first, and another in the third position. This setup will allow dual channel operation.
