XMP Profile fails to function on B450M model.
Hello, I purchased a RAM module DDR4 3000MHz (Patriot Viper Steel) with two 8GB sticks and installed it in my PC (Asrock B450M Steel Legend). The manufacturer claims the maximum speed is around 21333MHz, but my system still operates at that limit. I attempted to enable an XMP profile, but it didn’t boost performance as expected. When checking via CPU-Z or HW Monitor, the speed remains at 21333MHz. Any advice would be appreciated.
Update the BIOS with the XMP profile. If that fails, apply the profile before exiting and adjust the RAM speed to 2933. If still unsuccessful, repeat the process lowering the RAM speed further until it works.
I'm using the newest BIOS from ASRock, version 2.90. I attempt to adjust the DRAM frequency for 3000MHz, but the voltage stays at its maximum and won't go higher.
