Hello everyone, I’m experiencing a completely repeatable issue with my PC. It was built by myself and includes these components: Maxsun H510i Itx Board 32gb, Ripjaws RAM 2x16g, XMP up to 3200mhz, an i5 11400f, and an RX6600xt. This is the most unusual problem I’ve faced recently. After resetting the BIOS to factory settings and booting up, everything seemed normal—RAM reported correctly, CPU was boosting properly above 4GHz, and the Resizeable bar was off.

What’s strange now is the behavior with XMP. On my older processor (I3 10105f), enabling XMP would cause frequent restarts, likely because it was trying to find the right memory timings. But on the new 11400f, it keeps running a memory training/timing restart loop for hours, and won’t start at all if the Resizeable bar is enabled. It works fine when the Resizeable bar is off before enabling XMP, and after booting with XMP active, it restarts again.

Despite setting RAM timings manually to 3200mhz, the CPU never boosts above 3GHz. I’ve tried everything—manually adjusting timings, using different RAM, even switching to a different motherboard—but nothing seems to fix it. The CPU base clock is under 3GHz, and I’m convinced this is why boosting fails.

I’m frustrated because I thought I had resolved the issue with another system, but here it’s happening again. I’m hoping someone can help or suggest an alternative solution. I really need a faster RAM if possible, but at this point, I think CPU performance is more critical than RAM speed.

I blame the motherboard—it was all I could afford. Living in New Zealand, prices are high, and the Maxsun board only cost $130. You get what you pay for, right? If anyone has a better idea or an answer, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks for your time!
