This kit supports only XMP profile. Is it compatible with AM5 (Ryzen 7000 series) and 7200 MHz? The product mentions compatibility on the QLVL list, but the page only states XMP without mentioning Evo. Your confusion is understandable.

XMP functions well on AMD, aside from a few early BIOS updates. It’s essentially the same technology but stored in different sections of the SPD. The 7200 model, however, raises concerns. You’re likely to be locked into 2:1 mode, which can make performance drop compared to a standard 6000 CL30 setup if it even boots up correctly. I’d steer clear unless you’re experienced.

No, it doesn't imply it should work.

One might assume otherwise, but the QVL is primarily used for marketing now rather than for accurately testing memory kits. It's typical to run tests on a CPU with a leading memory controller, which means a higher average controller could affect results. Unless you're using standard settings, I wouldn't rely on a vendor's QVL. Also, since this runs in 2:1 mode, compatibility depends on each BIOS version, so you'd need to try different updates. This still means most tasks will lag behind if you run it at its maximum speed due to the memory latency issue.

I originally had a 2x32GB Expo 5600 C46 that I manually overclocked to 6000 MHz, but after the 3.30 update all my saved profiles stopped working. I spent many days trying to adjust settings and eventually decided to give these drives away since they overheat and have bad timing. I now plan to buy a 48GB kit, which should be faster due to its quality level. I believe this model is the CMP48GX5M2X7200C36W.

He clarified that the issue stems from a performance drop, and he suggested an alternative solution. The recommended fix is 6000cl30 instead.
