XMP not working ?
I attempted to turn on XMP and set the frequency to 2933 MHz for my RAM, but after saving the settings and restarting the PC, the RAM still shows the default speed of 2133MHz. When I revisit the BIOS, XMP is enabled and saved at 2933 MHz, yet it doesn't take effect. Why isn't it applying the changes? My RAM model is Corsair LPX 32GB DRAM 3000MHz, and the motherboard is Gigabyte AB350M-Gaming 3-CF. Is there a compatibility issue?
To access settings outside the BIOS, you typically need to enter the system using specific methods such as pressing certain keys during startup or using a USB drive with bootable software.
CPU-Z shows approximately 1467MHz under the memory section.
Have you actually configured XMP in the BIOS? Are you planning to use the gigabyte software on Windows to adjust it?
If your motherboard doesn’t have an AMD 7th Gen A-series or Athlon™ X4 series APU, upgrade the BIOS to the latest version (F51h) via Q-flash in BIOS, not through Windows.
Reapply XMP afterward. If needed, consider trying a different XMP profile.
For those with an AMD 7th Gen A-series or Athlon™ X4 series APU, ensure the BIOS version is updated to F25.
Here you find all my information in CPU-Z. The memory section shows 1064.1MHz. I don’t know much about BIOS, so I shared everything in the link before. I haven’t used any gigabyte software; I just tried to enable XMP like this.
It seems you've already applied the XMP profile and made adjustments. Disable XMP, reload Profile1, and save the changes.
