I just assembled my new PC two weeks ago. I attempted to overclock the CPU but felt uneasy, so I reset it back to the default BIOS settings. Later, I tried to turn XMP back on, which previously worked well, but now it causes BSODs. When XMP is off, everything functions normally. Could you assist? Did this affect my CPU? Here are the specs: Intel i9 10850K, no OC, 32GB RAM, 3600MHz clock, Corsair Quad Channel, ASUS Prime Z490-A, MSI Gaming RTX 2070, be quiet pure loop 360mm intake push-pull config, Fractal Design, Meshify S2, EVGA 850W Gold.
The CPU remains intact. The board and memory are designed for dual-channel operation, meaning all four dimensions should be active. Your Corsair memory is likely a budget SK Hynix module, which often causes issues—especially on AMD systems. You might attempt to activate XMP settings and then manually adjust the clock speed to 3200MHz to test stability.

It's a budget build. CL 16-19-19-39 and the price is fair. Remove the 'C' from the part number and it becomes a B-Die Kit, but at 259$ with 16-16-16-36 32GB 1.35v this offers better performance than the standard version. The slight upgrade in IC quality makes a noticeable difference for everyday use. As long as it functions, that extra speed is worth the cost. XMP II supports it too.
