Hi everyone, I’ve got a friend who just installed a 13600k with an ASUS Z690 M+ D4 BIOS and the 1620 chipset. He’s trying to get 3600MHz RAM in XMP mode but it only shows 2666. When he turns on XMP, the RAM and timing jump up to 3600MHz at 1.35V, but it still won’t boot. He’s not an overclocker, so it looks like there’s something blocking the fix. The RAM model listed is CMW32GX4M2Z3600C18 Corsair Vengeance Pro.

appreciate the effort. I assumed he mentioned the ASUS Z690 M 4D motherboard with an 8-pin and a 4-pin CPU power connector, but he seems to be using only the 8-pin version. It’s possible the XMP overclock won’t work with just the 8-pin connector.

If he possesses the cable and encounters difficulties, he ought to attempt connecting the four-pin version.

It appears the 2003 fix is resolved now, running at 3600 with XMP.
