XMP is active yet your RAM operates at 2666MHz instead of the expected 3200MHz.
I just upgraded my computer with two more DDR4 8GB sticks, purchased from another brand but similar to the others. Both are 8GB, 3200MHz, 16CL, located in ports 2-4 and 1-3 respectively. I tried swapping them, but the PC won’t boot and the motherboard stays solid yellow, indicating a DRAM failure. It recognizes all four sticks, yet it shows only 32GB total. How can I resolve this issue?
Consider alternative brands to avoid similar problems, though it can occur occasionally. Switch to advanced settings. Check if multiple XMP profiles exist. If not, adjust the 3200 MT/s speed and timing manually.
It seems the two sticks differ in timing, so the system chose the one with the most frequent 'set'—around 2666 MT/s. If a memtest runs without strange crashes, everything looks fine.
