You have 4 x 16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX sticks paired with a Gigabyte Z690 Elite AX DDR4 motherboard. Want to enable XMP for higher speeds? You can try setting the RAM to 2133MHz in BIOS, but it may not boot properly if you change the profile. The chip is an Intel 13440 series.

I forgot to include the 3600 rating info; it seems I’m still adjusting to manual timing settings. For now, I depend on XMP. This is my first time tweaking timings, and everything looks fine—just the default speed of 2133 is being used.

The XMP profile is listed on the DIMM stickers. The kit versions are indicated by the numbers inside the brackets (e.g., 3200, 3600, 4400). The 3600 frequency might not be compatible, and the Z690 Elite DDR4 has a limited memory setup that caps performance around 3600 MT/s with two modules. You may need to reduce the speed to around 3466 MT/s or 3200 MT/s. Consider enabling XMP and lowering the frequency manually to see if it activates. Adjust timings slightly higher if it works, or increase gradually until it stops responding.

CMK32GX4M2D3600C18 represents the specific iteration and profile you selected, which corresponds to the sequence 18-22-22-42 with a rating of 1.35v.

can't reach anything above 2133 with 4 DIMM slots, sadface. XMP appears turned off in the Gigabye Control Centre app, but I can enable it in BIOS—though it doesn’t seem to work properly, just blocks startup and resets CMOS several times already.

Understood. I'll attempt the dram voltage first, then proceed accordingly. I'll notify you with the version number upon failure, and we'll need to disassemble again.

You can configure a safe boot for that board, which avoids needing to reset CMOS each time you press a button on the bottom edge of the motherboard. This lets you jump straight into BIOS with default settings without altering them, so you can adjust the problematic setting and prevent POST issues without dealing with the extra steps of clearing CMOS.

Thanks for the update. I haven't used safe boot since the ME days, so I'll give it a try. However, it didn't boot right away when I manually set the MHz to 2400 in BIOS, so I removed the dimmer and checked A1, B1 which are v4.33, while A2 and B2 are v5.40.

This setup might lead to performance problems. Using one channel in B and another in A isn't optimal, though it improves compatibility. The system seems to struggle with at least 2400, but it should boot above 2133 if you adjust the voltage. Testing a 1.35V setting could affect training reliability.
