Mobo: Gigabyte B450 D3SH CPU, Ryzen 7 2700X RAM, HyperX Predator 3200Mhz OC. OS is Windows 10 Pro Build 19041.572. Adjust memory settings here: https://prnt.sc/uz5wm0. UserBenchmark results: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/34128342. When XMP is enabled and set to profile 1 (3200Mhz), the RAM appears clocked at 2400Mhz despite being in profile 1. BIOS shows system memory multiplier at 2400Mhz even though it's still at 3200Mhz. I reinstalled Windows and reset the BIOS once by removing the CMOS battery. A month ago, after a similar reset, it worked perfectly and UserBenchmark confirmed 3200Mhz performance. Now I hear the system attempting to boot multiple times with three attempts before success, followed by a long boot. The screen goes black repeatedly, then loads normally. I’m unsure if this is normal or hardware-related. Please advise. If you missed any steps, let me know.
Are your RAM slots set to 2 and 4? The 2000 series Ryzen can have issues running RAM at 3200 MHz. You might try using 2933 and check if it works. Each time you restart, the motherboard attempts to set up the RAM, but it often fails and returns to 2400.
Slot 2 and 4 are working. I also tested 2933 but it doesn't seem to set the configuration properly. When I start Windows, it stays at 2400Mhz. You're likely correct—it doesn't apply the settings and then reverts back.
