XMP - Corsair Vengeance (3600MHz)
XMP - Corsair Vengeance (3600MHz)
I recently upgraded my PC after six years and returned to using AMD. I purchased the following components: AMD 3900X, Gigabyte X570 Gaming X, and Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 32GB 3600MHz—a bundle through Overclockers in the UK. The system runs smoothly at stock RAM speeds, but it crashes unexpectedly once I enable XMP settings. Memory tests at stock performance are normal, yet XMP triggers a hardware error. Currently, I'm seeing 6.59 GHz across all six cores on stock configuration. The issue seems to stem from Overclockers recommending a maximum of 3000–32000 MHz for AMD Ryzen setups. Is this accurate? Should I proceed with an RMA, or should I accept the risk and keep the RAM? Thanks to everyone.
Do you have four 8GB RAM modules or two 16GB units? If it's the latter, are they located in slots two and four? When you turn on XMP, make sure the DRAM voltage is set to 1.35. You might also try adjusting the SOC voltage to 1.1 manually to see if it improves stability.
