I own a Ryzen 5 3600 with a Gigabyte Aurorus B450 motherboard and 16 GB of Corsair Vengeance 3200MHz RAM. Whenever I turn on XMP in the BIOS, the PC fails to boot and I must reset the BIOS settings. I've also attempted to use just one stick at a time without success.

Consider adjusting the frequency to 2933mhz manually... It might seem unusual, but it could resolve the issue.

Also, try updating your bios and trying again. You never know!

you might adjust the timing (change 14 to 15) if you have an MSI board you can also use Try It options in the BIOS. Edited October 29, 2025 by leclod

None of these steps succeeded on my M.II board; manually adjusting it to 2933 worked (just keep timings and other settings auto). The twist is that GSKILL now blocks access from 3200 to 3600, but Ryzen still causes issues on certain boards.

Check your motherboard manual for specific steps. If unsure, consult a professional technician to ensure safe installation.

BIOS settings for memory frequency are generally consistent across most motherboards.
