Hi everyone, I've faced some problems with my XMP profiles recently. After a year of use, the PC is no longer under warranty. When I try to enable an XMP profile, it keeps power cycling twice on startup and doesn't actually apply the profile. I attempted to manually adjust the memory overclock for a few weeks before experiencing a blue screen and another power cycle. The BIOS reset, replacing the CMOS battery, and re-seating RAM in different slots didn’t help. My system runs an MSI X570 MGP Gaming Edge with a Ryzen 3700X and two 8GB Corsair Vengeance RGB 3600 MHz chips. I have a fake RGB stick in slot 3, while the real ones are in slots 2 and 4. At this point, I’m considering giving up and accepting that my CPU is running at 2133 MHz with the RAM. Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It's hard to tell, but it might just be a problem with the board. The MSI X570 Gaming Edge seems like a major issue.

Consider increasing the SOC voltage if it's below 1.3V. Avoid exceeding that value, particularly on this board. You might also reduce the RAM clock speed slightly. Running at 3600MHz instead of 3200MHz or 3000MHz is still preferable, though slower. Adjust the FCLK accordingly—1600MHz for 3200MHz, 1500MHz for 3000MHz, etc.

Hi Chris, that sounds like a solid plan. I wasn’t entirely sure about the adjustments I should make since I checked the manual and updated the bios to fit your requirements. You might want to aim for a latency of around 3200 MHz but consider using 1.3V instead of 1.35V. Or you could try 3600 MHz at 1.3V—what you did test showed latency between 18-19 ms and voltage around 1.35V, so it seems the numbers are in line.

I gave it a shot at 1.3GHz with 3600MHz, but nothing came through. Then I tried 3200MHz at 1.3GHz and the system started up above it—probably because of the lower frequency. It’s definitely better than the 2133 setting right now. Appreciate the advice!
