I purchased the G.Skill Ripjaws S5 32GB Kit (2x16GB) DDR5-6000 C30 today, but I canceled it after learning about XMP settings. I read some Reddit discussions and they warned it’s not ideal for my system. Now I’m researching further—I think XMP and EXPO are just default configurations. Maybe watching a YouTube tutorial could help adjust the RAM settings. Should I rearrange the G.Skill RAM as it’s priced at $130, which seems like a solid offer?

Yep, XMP is just EXPO for Intel and vice versa for AMD, lol.

It would be fine to purchase that RAM, only minor adjustments might be needed upon installation—probably not a complicated process.

AMD motherboards have been compatible with XMP for a long time. I'm new to DDR5, but my current cards show identical speeds when using XMP and EXPO.

It doesn't make sense to adjust settings just to try and fix things. RAM on Ryzen chips can be sensitive, and changing parameters often leads to issues rather than improvements.

I don’t feel comfortable with the notion of relying on it.

It turns out XMP and EXPO are just standard terms for CPU support. You receive official RAM speeds from the CPU manufacturer, module makers claim theirs, and motherboard builders fall in between. None of them can promise guaranteed performance at a specific rate. Pushing higher speeds or lower latency increases the risk of failure. For AM5 right now, 6000C30 is a solid choice. I don’t pay much attention to the chip details, but it’s likely the module makers are aligning their claims similarly. If you need help, Corsair Vengeance 6000C30 in 2x16 and 2x32 kits have both performed well.
