I just completed assembling my PC, installing Windows, updating the operating system, and adding the newest GPU drivers. To wrap everything up, I accessed the BIOS and turned on XMP, but it no longer boots into Windows. It reaches the login screen, yet crashing when I switch to the desktop. I changed the RAM placement, adjusted the clock speed and voltage manually, hoping for a lower setting to match my CPU’s capabilities. However, any tweaks only result in a black screen with no progress. I’m familiar with fixing black screens by clearing CMOS, but I need advice on resolving the XMP problem. I don’t want to limit myself to stock speeds when overclocking is possible. Here’s my setup: CPU – AMD Ryzen 5600X, GPU – Gigabyte GTX 1660Ti, RAM – G Skill Ripjaws DDR4-3600MHz (8GB x 2), PSU – Corsair CX650M 650W 80+ Bronze.
