OK so I bought a xfx 7870 thinking I had a 600w. Turns out it's a 450w with 1 6 pin and some 4 pin molex's. So should I buy a molex to 6 pin adapter for the second 6pin power slot and be ok or should I get a new pcu. Moreover, do I HAVE to get a new pcu? Not planning on overclocking...

Is it a high-quality 450W unit? What CPU does it have and is it overclocked? I’d recommend a better PSU, preferably with a Gold rating or higher from a reputable brand. A reliable PSU is one of the few parts you can rely on for many builds, and it’s worth the investment to safeguard your components.

It's time to replace your PSU, what's your budget? 450w isn't enough for a 7870. My budget is just under 200, perhaps around 125-160.
