I've been facing serious packet loss with Xfinity while using an Ethernet cable from the router. Frustrating, especially since my speed keeps dropping. Ugh, it's not great—especially with the 450 download and 10 upload charges. And is Speedtest being manipulated? Also, I'm paying for those speeds.

It might be due to dishonesty. A fresh Ethernet cord could help. Perhaps Xfinity’s poor support is the issue?

It meets the CAT 5E standard, though it’s quite basic and has a monthly limit of 1TB.

I don't have access to that information. Could you clarify which modem you're referring to?

Ensure no activity is happening during the test and confirm no other devices are connected.

It might stem from a modem problem or signal quality if packet loss occurs.

I'm using the included modem, but we're considering purchasing a new one due to these problems. Both I and my brother have encountered these issues.

Yeah but you need to verify that you have proper signal. The modem has a specific range the signal has to be at for you to have internet.
