Based on a brief look at Amazon feedback, it seems acceptable for a solid LGA1366 motherboard.

It varies by motherboard. You won’t be able to change the multiplier freely, but you can slightly adjust the BCLK.

Newer Xeons weren't expecting your unit to run on a 1366 chip. As a 6-core processor, it will feature less powerful cores than a quad-core model, though upgrading it to around 4.5GHz would make it work well.

The X5650 model is 1366. You have two L5520 units on your server and are thinking about replacing them with two X5650s.

A site that relies heavily on a single test benchmark isn't very reliable. The X5650 remains a solid choice despite this.

I installed my x5650 on a P6 motherboard with overclock settings at 4.2ghz using the maximum multiplier (22). Running at around 1.28 volts feels stable and cool. It handles gaming well without any issues. At these speeds, it performs similarly to the 6-core x79 CPU.
