Is the temperature around 1220 degrees? You mentioned you have a stock cooler.

There are numerous Xeons available in this realm. Some feature up to 56 cores and can be boosted for higher performance. Certain models allow overclocking, which may increase heat output. For your particular model, the E3-1220 offers peace of mind since it matches the performance of a core i5-2400. The i5-2400 is compatible with the standard Intel cooler, making the 1220 just as manageable.

kind of. You said you are gaming right? Which means you probably have a graphics card chosen for this, so the iGPU wouldn't be active anyway, and it wouldn't product heat. Either way, you won't be needing any fancy cooling for this CPU.
