Hello, I’m having some issues with my old PC. I hope you can help me here. The problem seems to be excessive heat during synthetic tests or games—my CPU is overheating, and the temperature stays high even when the fan is running quietly. I’ve tried a new thermal paste and applied it to the bridge, but the issue persists. The temperatures remain the same whether the system is idle or active. What should I do? Also, please forgive my limited English—I’m still getting better at this.
I don’t get the meaning behind this question. If I use the same temperature, it should run quietly at low speed, slow down when idle, and speed up when there’s activity on the CPU. It looks like it’s in good condition.
Times are increasing rapidly from around 60 to 90 within 3 to 7 seconds. No shutdowns occur at 100°C, but throttling happens when temperatures exceed 100°C. Touching the device makes the CPU and bridge feel warm.
