The CPU and RAM combination is showing signs of wear, though a GPU could help. However, these games are very demanding on the CPU, so it might not be ideal. Additionally, I’m pretty sure the laptop doesn’t have the ports or features needed for an external GPU.

It's a desktop PC, not a laptop. I know it's old.

Are you using a laptop or a desktop computer?
I don't suggest opting for an eGPU, as they tend to be too expensive for the performance they offer.
In some cases, you might even find a more suitable laptop that meets your requirements.
On the other hand, if you have a desktop, you could purchase a GTX1050/ti or an AMD equivalent and experience around 60 frames per second, possibly even in 1080p.

It's a desktop PC, I need cheaper GPU because I am getting new pc in July. Can GT730 run them in 720p?

Ahhh okay that makes more sense! When you mention eGPU I always think about laptops! Anyway, I believe Ansux is being optimistic about the 1080p 60fps, perhaps in CSGO if you're very lucky, but honestly the RAM and CPU combo will really limit you—likely to a maximum of 720p 40fps at the lowest settings, especially with Fortnite.

It will execute them yes, though I'm uncertain about 40-60fps. The lowest settings in CSGO might allow 40fps at 720p.

I also think it could be a poor investment.
You don’t know precisely what you’ll receive with your new PC, but it would make sense to simply replace the graphics card first.
It might be better to purchase a 2080ti now and upgrade the CPU, motherboard, or RAM later, regardless of how limited your current setup is.

I believe trying to cheat on it is a waste of money! No matter which GPU you choose, even with a Titan, it will still be constrained by the CPU and RAM. Just wait until you upgrade your PC.
