I tried checking my Xbox Live settings through the browser because I’m using Linux Mint and can’t access my PC directly. After logging in, I kept getting redirected to a page explaining how to link a child account to a parent account. At 17, I’m surprised I can’t view my own profile without help from my parents. Do you think this feature can be turned off or adjusted? I don’t want to ask them to set up separate Microsoft and Xbox accounts just for browsing.

After a child account is set up, Microsoft will label your account as such until you reach 18 years of age. You can't do anything about this at the moment.
