Xbox One operates under strict network settings using a Netgear Nighthawk AX40 router.
Hello, a run down of what I've done so far: On my Bell internet modem+router combo I set a DMZ with my personal routers internet port MAC address. UPnP is enabled on it also. I then port forwarded the eight ports related to Xbox live. Then on my personal router, Netgear Nighthawk AX40 I port forwarded the same Xbox live ports, plus the user configurable port on the Xbox; 51646. UPnP is enabled on AX40. When running the test NAT on the Xbox, I'm getting Strict result. I know that means its behind two routers but there should be no barrier between it and the internet. The Xbox is connected to the AX40 over 5G Wifi, signal strength 100%. Thoughts?
My ISP Bell Canada doesn't provide IPv6, which isn't ideal. Rogers seems to have it but I'm part of a bundle with other services, so changing now would be a loss. On the AX40 I set up the WAN configuration using the Xbox IP as the default DMZ server. Turned off port scanning and DoS protection. Enabled NAT filtering and allowed open ports.
