XBox 360 on Win10x64
XBox 360 on Win10x64
My sister has been using this 360 controller for about two years but hasn't used it much lately. I purchased a game from Steam that isn't meant for mice or keyboards, so I used the controller.
After plugging it in, the device manager shows the green light flashing.
I looked for driver updates, changed USB drivers, switched ports, and updated Windows, but nothing fixed the issue.
I checked online advice and realized I was already trying everything.
Any suggestions on how to get this working again?
The wireless 360 controllers use a unique wireless setup, meaning you must connect the microsoft gaming receiver. When using the USB cable, it only charges the batteries, not the playback function, which is why...
I also won 10 and I have a 360 and an Xbox controller. They function together even. My 360 isn't an official one, so I had to set up a second driver. Check the device manager for a yellow one and see if you need a driver update for the controller.
The problem might be there, as it showed up in the device manager talking about a battery pack. I own a PS3 controller from a RaspberryPi build—hopefully better luck otherwise, else I’ll look on eBay for a standard Xbox controller. Sadly, I currently have only three STEAM games, and they didn’t mention needing a controller. I just bought Warframe because my niece said it was fun and free, but no mouse or keyboard remapping. Thanks for the help.
