Hello everyone, I'm working on upgrading my Plex media server to an X99 motherboard—an older board from a previous build, a huge jump from my 3770k. I was wondering if using a Xeon chip would need ECC memory? I haven't found any details about this yet. Thanks for the help!

It's incorrect to say you can't use ECC mode without a specific chipset board, no matter what CPU you have.
